(6 pages 156kb) - This setting of the Cherubic Hymn was completed during Holy week of 2005 and is based on the Serbian chant tone 2 melody adapted to English by the composer. It is one of seven Cherubic hymn melodies which can be found in the two volume Anthology of Serbian Chant - a comprehensive English text, musical anthology (notni zbornik) consisting of monophonic Serbian chant. This Cherubic hymn is set in the key of F, however, if performed in a concert setting, the higher and brighter key of G may be preferred depending on the capabilities of the choir.
